LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce applauded President Barack Obama today after the President submitted trade agreements to Congress Monday that would make it easier for American companies to compete in exporting to South Korea, Columbia and Panama.
“We applaud President Obama for displaying bold leadership by pushing these trade agreements through at a time when our country’s employers need every advantage they can get when it comes to competing in international markets,” said L.A. Area Chamber President & CEO Gary Toebben. “Now we turn our eyes to Congress and ask that they too realize the urgency in providing a much-needed lifeline to American businesses.”
“To delay these agreements any further would mean delaying support for tens of thousands of American jobs.”
