LOS ANGELES, CA – Los Angeles has been selected as a research site for the Gateways for Growth Challenge, which will investigate the value that immigrants provide the local economy. The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce is working with the national research team to guide the analysis of Los Angeles.

“The Chamber has long recognized the value that immigrants provide to the L.A. region, and we know that attracting immigrants can be part of an effective economic growth strategy. We are looking forward to guiding research to quantify the economic benefit that robust immigration policies provide,” stated David Rattray, executive vice president of Education and Workforce Development.

The Chamber expects to deliver research results later this year, detailing economic impact of immigrant integration in Los Angeles.

The Gateways for Growth Challenge is an initiative of the Partnership for a New American Economy Research Fund (PNAE) and Welcoming America that supports the development and implementation of multi-sector strategies for welcoming and integrating new Americans.
