LOS ANGELES, CA — Today, in response to LAUSD Superintendent Michelle King’s retirement announcement, David Rattray, Executive Vice President of the L.A. Area Chamber’s Center for Education Excellence & Talent Development released the following statement.
“We are very saddened to learn of Michelle King’s illness and her decision to retire. Our heart goes out to Michelle, her family and her friends; and our hope is for her full recovery. Michelle’s 30-year career of public service is exemplary to all of us. Her remarkable work on behalf of the students of Los Angeles is an inspiration to us as we strive to continue her efforts for students and support the institution of LAUSD to which she dedicated her career.”
