LOS ANGELES AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE RESPONDS TO L.A. COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MORE RESTRICTIVE MEASURES

"We are thankful for the efforts of Supervisors Kathryn Barger and Janice Hahn in fighting for businesses who have already made incredible sacrifices to align with existing safety protocols to remain open and keep their employees. We are disappointed the Board voted to impose more restrictive measures which could once again put nearly 700,000* out of work. These new restrictive requirements were imposed without the benefit of supporting facts or collaboration from the business community, who are directly affected. In a time when we should be supporting businesses to boost our economy, these measures will be devastating to families as well as businesses so close to the holidays, and without relief in sight," stated Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Maria S. Salinas
