L.A. AREA CHAMBER RESPONDS TO GOVERNOR NEWSOM’S ANNOUNCEMENT OF IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE FOR BUSINESSES IMPACTED BY COVID-19

“The L.A. Area Chamber understands the urgent need for health and safety restrictions in order to address the spread of COVID-19. However, we believe that any shut down or further restrictions will be detrimental to small businesses, who are barely hanging on. If we must restrict businesses and their capacity for health and safety reasons, resources must be provided to ensure businesses can survive the surge too. Which is why we applaud Governor Gavin Newsom for providing much needed relief and resources for small businesses who have been hardest hit. The proposed grant and tax relief will provide small businesses a fighting chance to remain open while we all weather the storm of this pandemic.” stated Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Maria S. Salinas
