THE INAUGURAL ALSO HONORS E. STANLEY KROENKE, LINDA GRIEGO, AND KAISER PERMANENTE FOR THEIR LEADERSHIP

Los Angeles, CA - JANUARY 27, 2022 – The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce celebrates its 134th annual Inaugural Dinner, highlighting the leadership and optimism for the region. The theme of “Resilience. Growth. Transformation.” marks the Chamber’s vision for a resilient future as we emerge from the pandemic.
Awards Presented:
- Corporate Leadership Award – This award is given annually to an organization which demonstrates superior leadership in the long-term economic growth and prosperity of the Los Angeles region. This year it will be presented to Kaiser Permanente for their work in keeping our communities both healthy and employed during the pandemic, saving countless lives and livelihoods, all while continuing in their commitment to support the small business community.
- The Civic Medal of Honor – Presented in recognition of continuous extraordinary non-elective service. This year it will be presented to Linda Griego, for her incomparable civic leadership. As the founder and vice chair of the MLK Community Health Foundation and as a lifelong public servant, Linda is a model contributor to the community.
- Distinguished Business Leader Award – Is an honor presented to an individual who demonstrates extraordinary success in business and a commitment to the greater community. This year to E. Stanley Kroenke receives the award for his work in making Los Angeles a global sports and entertainment destination. By ensuring the global entertainment spotlight remains in Los Angeles, he further ensures our region remains a sports entertainment powerhouse.
“We are ready to move beyond the pandemic and continue our work to ensure that economic recovery can restore hope and be within reach for all in our community. With an equitable economic recovery, the region can celebrate success. Tonight, we recognize business leaders who rose to the challenges of the pandemic and transformed communities through their leadership. Our event theme, Resilience. Growth. Transformation., recognizes the strength, adaptability, and promise for our region. We know, through collaboration between business, government, and community, there is hope for a brighter future,” said Maria S. Salinas, President & CEO of the L.A. Area Chamber.
The event will also highlight the passing of the gavel from 2021 Board Chair Raul A. Anaya to the 2022 Board Chair, Mark Louchheim, Chairman and CEO of Bobrick Washroom Equipment, Inc., a company dedicated to manufacturing washroom accessories, child accommodation products and restroom partitions which provide innovative solutions for non-residential building owners.
Louchheim is an active board member of professional and charitable organizations, currently serving as a past chair of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Greater Los Angeles. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. Louchheim’s past board service includes the Leadership Council of the Music Center, Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic, the Center for Early Education, and the Young Presidents’ Organization, Inc.
