 L.A. AREA CHAMBER HOSTS 2022 ACCESS L.A. ADVOCACY CONVENING WITH LOCAL LEGISLATORS

 

LOS ANGELES, CA – September 7, 2022 – The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual ACCESS L.A. advocacy convening. The ACCESS Advocacy Series provides a platform for the Chamber to advocate for the policies it is championing at the local, state and federal levels.

 

The Chamber aims to promote policies which will strengthen industries and drive both job creation and regional economic prosperity for all. Through a series of keynote sessions and panel discussions, members will have the opportunity to connect with elected officials, share their stories and business knowledge, and shape policy.

 

The program will include keynote speakers; Kathryn Barger, Supervisor, 5th District and Mitch O'Farrell, Councilmember, Los Angeles City Council. Featured panel discussions will include the following topics;

 

Workforce Development, panel discussion will include:

  • Capri Maddox, Executive Director, Los Angeles Civil and Human Rights and Equity Department
  • Miguel Cabral, Executive Officer, LA Metro
  • Carolyn Hull, General Manager, Economic and Workforce Development Department
  • Angelo Farooq, Chairman, California Workforce Development Board

 

Energy of the Future, panel discussion will include:

  • Neil Navin, Vice President, Clean Energy Innovations, SoCalGas
  • Nithya Raman, Councilmember, Los Angeles City Council
  • Mitch O'Farrell, Councilmember, Los Angeles City Council
  • Jack Brouwer, Director, National Fuel Cell Research Center
  • Jason Rondou, Director, LADWP

 

L.A. Area Chamber president and CEO, Maria S.
