L.A. Area Chamber Honors Mayor Riordan


LOS ANGELES (April 20, 2023) — Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Maria S. Salinas, issued the following statement today after the passing of former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan:

“We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan. Riordan helped the city rebuild and grow following the 1992 riots and led courageous emergency efforts to reconstruct our city after the Northridge earthquake. He supported economic development strategies to improve the lives of Angelenos and preserved integral public institutions such as the Central Library. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.”
