L.A. Area Chamber Honors Gloria Molina Legacy

LOS ANGELES (May 15, 2023) — Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Maria S. Salinas, issued the following statement today after the passing of former political pioneer and community advocate, Gloria Molina:
“We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of former Los Angeles County Supervisor Gloria Molina. She leaves a deep legacy of service as a formidable elected leader who fought for her constituents and all Angelenos.
“She made history, breaking glass ceilings as the first Latina elected to the State Assembly, the Los Angeles City Council, and L.A. County Board of Supervisors. We are grateful for her transformative contributions through her public service career. We extend our condolences to her family.”
