L.A. Area Chamber Issues Statement Regarding End of SAG-AFTRA Strike

LOS ANGELES (Nov. 14, 2023) — The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following statement responding to the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) reaching an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) to end a strike which lasted more than 100 days:
“The Chamber commends SAG-AFTRA and AMPTP for coming to an agreement to end the strike. We are hopeful the economy will rebound with film production resuming, which will benefit businesses, especially small businesses that are part of the supply chain supporting the entertainment industry. The Chamber is ready to lend our support.” stated Maria S. Salinas, President and CEO, Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
