L.A. Area Chamber Applauds Passage of Proposition 1 to Address Mental Health and Addiction Crisis

LOS ANGELES, CA - MARCH 27, 2024 – The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce applauds passage of Proposition 1 to help address California's mental health and addiction crisis.
“In light of California's acute need for resources to address homelessness in the state, I am honored the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce backed and provided early support for Proposition 1. This initiative permits the state to construct an additional 10,000 treatment beds and to reformulate state funding mechanisms to include behavioral health services in response to the opioid addiction crisis, stated Maria S. Salinas, president and CEO, Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
