L.A. Area Chamber Celebrates L.A. Fleet Week at Port of Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA - May 22, 2024 – The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce released the following statement regarding the 9th annual L.A. Fleet Week.

"The L.A. Area Chamber is pleased to commemorate L.A. Fleet Week 2024. To kick off the multi-day series of events dedicated to honoring the brave men and women of our country's armed forces, the Chamber will host a private tour of the USS Carl Vinson, the first visit of an active U.S. Navy aircraft carrier to the L.A. Waterfront in 13 years.

Fleet Week provides a unique opportunity for the community to connect with the members of the United States Armed Forces. This tradition, like the Chamber's longstanding relationship with the Port of Los Angeles, spans decades.

Los Angeles is a maritime region. Our bustling ports support jobs, the flow of goods and our economy. Fleet Week offers an opportunity to salute those who secure those ports and the seas. They enable the growth and prosperity for Los Angeles, but also connect it to the rest of the world," stated Maria S. Salinas, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
