L.A. Area Chamber Issues Statement on Approval of L.A. Convention Center Expansion

LOS ANGELES, CA – April 9, 2025 –The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following statement regarding the City Council’s approval of the Los Angeles Convention Center expansion and modernization project:
“We applaud the Los Angeles City Council for approving the long-awaited expansion and modernization of the Los Angeles Convention Center. This project marks a critical investment in our city’s future—strengthening our visitor economy, creating jobs, and enhancing our capacity to host world-class events. As we prepare for the global stage in the years ahead, including the Olympic and Paralympic Games, this bold step affirms Los Angeles’ leadership and commitment to inclusive economic growth,” said Maria S. Salinas, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
