L.A. Chamber statement on the 1000-Day Countdown to the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games

LOS ANGELES, CA – OCTOBER 17, 2025 – The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following statement regarding Mayor Karen Bass’ recent actions to prepare for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games:
“The 2028 Games represent an extraordinary opportunity to showcase Los Angeles on the world stage and create a lasting legacy for future generations,” said Maria S. Salinas, President & CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. “We applaud Mayor Bass for taking decisive steps to streamline processes and set a clear vision for the Games. The business community stands ready to help ensure that these Games are a global celebration and a catalyst for economic mobility and community legacy.
