Chamber Responds to the Passing of Rob & Michele Singer Reiner

LOS ANGELES, CA – December 18, 2025 – The L.A. Area Chamber mourns the loss of legendary filmmaker Rob Reiner, whose impact extended far beyond Hollywood. Reiner was a tireless advocate for early childhood education and health, recognizing that early learning is not only a policy priority but a moral and economic imperative that strengthens families, workforce readiness, and long-term prosperity.

 
In the mid-1990s, he founded the “I Am Your Child” initiative, which helped pave the way for Proposition 10, a measure that funds services for children aged 0–5. Through this effort, Reiner played a pivotal role in establishing the First 5 network, advancing early education, and supporting families across California.
The Chamber extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who benefited from his extraordinary legacy.
