Vaccine Mandates Increase Across State

California will require state employees and all healthcare workers to provide proof of COVID-19 inoculation or get tested at least once a week according to Governor Newsom’s announcement on Monday. L.A. County and the City of Los Angeles, as well as several school districts, have instituted similar mandates.

Dr. Barbara Ferrer, Director of Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, joined the Chamber for a special briefing with the business community where she shared her insights on the Delta variant and its correlation to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, as well as what is being done to curb the spread. Dr. Ferrer stressed the importance of vaccines as a protection.  See her presentation
 here.

Join the Chamber in promoting vaccination until we reach sufficient community immunity. The COVID-19 pandemic, and its variants, will only end once everyone who is eligible gets vaccinated. For more information on how to locate a vaccination provider click here.
