For 98 years, World Trade Week (WTW), an initiative of the L.A. Area Chamber, has promoted international trade and its vitality to a strong local and national economy. World trade is celebrated throughout the month of May with more than 30 events hosted by partnering organizations in Southern California and is kicked at the Chamber's Annual WTW Kickoff Breakfast with approximately 500 guests.
The Diplomatic & Commercial Officers Group provides the infrastructure and venue where members of the consular corps and trade offices can develop their own trade strategies and programs as they perform their professional responsibilities. The Chamber is proud to be the first Chamber in the nation to bring exporters a revolutionary new online platform. Chamber partner Fast Track Global Services (FTGS) has worked closely with foreign governments, global regulatory and health agencies, various U.S. chambers of commerce and freight forwarders to develop a platform that uses secure block chain technology to help you obtain and process your documents with accuracy, enhanced security and instant traceability.

To facilitate collaboration and coordination among the greater Los Angeles and five-county region’s international trade institutions, government agencies, economic development offices, and service providers; to sustain broad-based and inclusive economic growth and job creation in the region by promoting the growth of exports by local firms, particularly small and medium-sized firms; and to strengthen, support and expand existing services and programs that are responsive to regional exporter needs.
The Chamber’s commitment to develop regional initiatives stems from the knowledge that global transactions are in fact influenced and driven by local or subnational strategies and alliances. An integral part of the Chamber’s global strategy is to efficiently link the region with cities, counties, provinces, municipalities, states and countries on various continents. We are continuously strengthening current partnerships in 15 nations and developing new strategic alliances and Memorandum-of-Understandings (MOUs) with different levels of government agencies, chambers of commerce and professional organizations in other countries.
