Los Angeles Daily News Says "No on Measure S," Encourage Your Employees to Vote on March 7

The Los Angeles Daily News began its editorial this past weekend in opposition to Measure S with these two sentences: "Measure S, the Neighborhood Integrity Initiative, is by far the most consequential ballot measure facing Los Angeles city voters on March 7. While it aims to quell conflicts of interest and pay-to-play politics, its good points are outweighed by its unintended consequences, hurting economic vitality and progress in L.A. It deserves a no vote."

We're only two weeks away from one of the most impactful elections in Los Angeles history. That is why the Chamber is urging all of its members to encourage their 650,000 employees in L.A. and L.A. County to vote on March 7.

In addition to voting NO on Measure S, the Chamber is encouraging voters to say YES on Measure H which would enable our County Supervisors to partner with all 88 cities in L.A. County to provide housing and support services for the 47,000 homeless individuals who are living on the streets in every corner of L.A. County.

This ballot offers stark choices regarding the community we want to be in the future. Like the Los Angeles Daily News and the Los Angeles Times, we urge voters who live in the City of L.A. to vote NO on Measure S - no to halting the construction of desperately needed housing, no to eliminating thousands of jobs, no to stymying economic development for years to come.

On election day, all voters in the county have the opportunity to stand up and say YES on Measure H - yes to helping the most vulnerable among us, yes to addressing substance abuse, yes to job counseling to get homeless individuals back on their feet and a roof over their children's heads. For a great overview of Measure H, read the Los Angeles Times editorial this past weekend.

The results of the vote on these two measures will set the course for our quality of life for years to come. I urge all employers in the City and County of L.A. to encourage their employees to vote on March 7 and provide them with the flexibility they need in their working day to make voting a reality.

And that's The Business Perspective.

Hello all, measure H sounds like a good thing. The question that I have is how it is to be funded? more tax, bonds, or ?
Thank you
