I Am So Proud of Los Angeles and You!

The voters of Los Angeles City and County sent a very loud message to the world yesterday. They signaled strong support for continued economic growth and strong empathy for the 47,000 homeless individuals who spend their nights sleeping on the streets and public spaces throughout L.A. County.

Last night, supporters of Measure H and opponents of Measure S gathered together to watch election results and celebrate their broad overlapping coalitions. As I thanked the hundreds of people in the audience for their contributions of time, talent and financial resources, I felt a deep love and admiration for the businesses and residents in the City and County of L.A. I am so proud to lead a business organization that in the same election aggressively and unabashedly led the charge for economic opportunity and social compassion.

Thanks to each of you who voted in support of Measure H and in opposition to Measure S. And thanks to each of you who were involved in either of these campaigns in any way. Every vote counted and you too should feel proud of Los Angeles.

And that's The Business Perspective.

i hope now that it passed that when it comes to homelessness and Veterans trying to sustain a good place to live that the Perpetuation of Veteran poverty in light of contributions that are made by the VA and other organizations as well as individuals, as to how such money is used to "help" Veterans versus helping those who prosper on our misfortune.

my name is kenneth james, a Marine Corporal, i have been homeless for years, and am still on skid row... yes i have complications, but it is not that i am on drugs, but... well, the topic is the perpetuation of Veteran Poverty.

This is the article... let's make a difference, and really help Veterans... that is, educate, and let people and organizations have the best interest of Veterans at heart instead of feeding those who profit on our misfortune
