Government & Fiscal Affairs Council welcomes Paul Krekorian

This week, the Chamber's Government & Fiscal Affairs Council welcomed Los Angeles City Councilmember Paul Krekorian, chair of the City’s Budget and Finance Committee. Councilmember Krekorian highlighted the current state of the City’s budget as well as the upcoming presentation of the mayor’s budget in April. The Councilmember made clear the importance of the business community voice throughout the budget making process, urging representatives from the business community to be engaged throughout the process from April through May. The Council also discussed two state cannabis bills around the creation of an emblem program as well as the State possibly contracting with an armored car service to collect all cash taxes from cannabis businesses. The Council tabled these discussions to take a position once the language of the bills is more clear. SEE THE PHOTOS.
