by Center for Education Excellence & Talent Development
Recently, the Chamber trained L.A. County workforce system employees on business engagement strategies to advance fair chance hiring (FCH). Business service representatives (BSRs) from the L.A. County America's Job Center of California (AJCC) attended this training to learn more about the 2018 Fair Chance Act, as well as to support businesses in their roles to implement FCH best practices. Beyond compliance with the law, the training highlighted the business and economic perspective for hiring people with prior justice involvement with actionable processes and recommendations for BSRs to engage private sector businesses.
