The Chamber’s Center for Education Excellence & Talent Development, in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), Office of L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti and the California Community Colleges Health Workforce Initiative, hosted a School Nurse Interview Day on Tuesday, July 9. LAUSD interviewed 65 candidates with 36 employment contracts offered and 17 candidates signing on the spot. These efforts are part of the Chamber’s L.A. Health Care Talent Pipeline efforts to ensure the region’s health care employers have access to a skilled workforce representative of local communities and LAUSD is able to close the school nurse workforce gap.
