Chamber hosts Vietnamese Provincial Business Briefing

Last week, the Chamber, in partnership with the Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco, hosted an intimate business briefing with a visiting delegation of executives and government officials in charge of investment, planning, trade and industry development from the Quang Nam Province, home to eight industrial parks, 51 industrial clusters and the Chu Lai open economic zone. The province attracts investors from a number of countries and territories with more than 135 projects and a combined registered capital of more than $5.78 billion. The delegates provided an overview of opportunities in hi-tech agriculture, energy,  automobile manufacturing/assembly and electronics. The newly appointed Consul General of Vietnam in San Francisco, H.E. Nguyen Trac Toan, provided welcome remarks. LEARN MORE. SEE THE PHOTOS.

Vietnam is still a communist country where the government has been violating the human rights badly. It has also cheated on the foreign investors by giving them warm welcome to invest, and then the communist party members try to make money from the investors illegally everyday. In order to do business "peacefully," the investors have to bribe them and cannot record the expenses, so they have to do illegal business to retain their business. The communist party members wait for the investors to grow big while taking regular money from them, and then they finally take everything from the investors by telling them that they are agents who want to overthow the government, so the investors have to leave the country within several hours. This practice has happened in Vietnam for many years, and many foreign investors have lost all of their investments there. It is very dangerous to do business with Vietnamese communist party, so LA Chamber of Commerce should not promote the business with Vietnam communist country.
