Chamber joins Mayor’s Women’s Equality Day celebration

On Aug. 28, the Chamber was invited by the Office of L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti to join the Women's Equality Day celebration at Getty House. Chamber President & CEO Maria S. Salinas was recognized alongside fellow board member Elise Buik, president and CEO of the United Way of Greater Los Angeles, for leading major nonprofit organizations in Los Angeles. The event was in recognition and coincided with the anniversary of the passage of women's right to vote. Los Angeles' First Lady Amy Elaine Wakeland acknowledged advancements made towards women’s equality throughout L.A.
"The Mayor and First Lady are committed to equality policies and to elevating women and girls at every level within our great city."
