Global Initiatives Council receives blockchain and fintech briefing

Members of the Chamber's Global Initiatives Council received an update on the implications of fintech and blockchain on global business this week. Edward Achtner, head of digital banking and strategic change, HSBC, shared various digital transformation trends, as well as tips for business leaders to stay on top of this technological movement. "Digital transformation of global trade is a complex challenge that will require the trade community to work together to come up with strong solutions,” noted Achtner, while also encouraging companies to evaluate digital trade solutions as future necessities in order to remain competitive.
