The Referral Network welcomed Naomi Rodriguez, vice president of external affairs and community relations for the Los Angeles Dodgers, who presented on how small businesses can use a corporate social responsibility strategy to mutually benefit their business and community. Rodriguez shared examples of how the Dodgers support impactful causes including the Thousand Oaks Reunion, honoring a veteran at every home game and much more. A key takeaway for small business owners: learn about their community and customers, and then align those findings with a cause they are passionate about. Attendees were also provide with Dodger swag including hats, tote bags, backpacks and bobblehead raffle prizes.
