Chamber Discusses the Future of Freight in California

On Jan. 7, the Transportation & Goods Movement Council kicked off with a presentation focusing on the California Freight Mobility Plan 2020 from Yatman Kwan, the Office Chief for the California Department of Transportation Freight Planning Division. There were robust discussions, including connecting past plans to this new draft, moving towards sustainable freight and revisiting suggested ideas to be incorporated into the plan. The Council also reviewed and approved the policy priorities for the year in concept, with follow-ups on specific federal policy priorities.
