A City Mourns
January 29, 2020
by Maria S. Salinas
Los Angeles mourns the tragic loss of nine individuals. Devoted parents, talented young girls and inspiring coaches left us too soon. This news brought us shock, grief and deep sorrow.
Los Angeles lost an icon. Kobe Bryant, a beloved athlete, entrepreneur, philanthropist, husband and father, embraced all things Los Angeles. From playing for the Los Angeles Lakers to working with kids in our neighborhoods, championing the work on homelessness and promoting inclusivity on so many levels. His impact runs deep.

The Chamber shares in this grief and extends our condolences to all the families affected by this tragedy. Let us honor them as their lives made Los Angeles a better place.
