The Economic Power of California's Nonprofit Sector

On Tuesday, the Chamber's Nonprofit Council heard from Jan Masaoka, CEO of the California Association of Nonprofits, about the outlook for successful government-nonprofit partnerships in the year ahead and the vital role nonprofits should play in policy decisions. Nonprofits account for 15 percent of California's GDP. Masaoka shared that while more than one million people work in the nonprofit sector in L.A. County, L.A. ranks only 47th in volunteerism in the country.
The California Association of Nonprofits is a statewide membership organization that brings nonprofit organizations together to advocate for communities they serve.
