Chamber hosts discussion on USMCA opportunities

On Monday, the Chamber, in partnership with the U.S. Chamber and the consulates of Mexico and Canada in Los Angeles, hosted a discussion focused on the opportunities surrounding the new United States-Mexico-Canada agreement (USMCA) to strengthen trade in the region during the crisis and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The discussion, moderated by Nicole Simonian, Partner, Crowell & Moring, featured Chamber President Maria S. Salinas,,Hon. Zaib Shaikh, Consul General of Canada, Hon. Marcela Celorio, Consul General of Mexico and Neil Herrington, Senior Vice President, Americas Department, U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The L.A. Area Chamber has actively advocated for the passage of the USMCA -- an updated trilateral partnership, which will go into full effect on July 1. View the program.
