Celebrating Business Leadership
Each year, we take a moment to recognize and celebrate the contributions of business in Los Angeles. From those that break barriers and to those that help empower communities to the many Chamber partners. This perseverance and commitment were on display at the Chamber’s annual Inaugural.
We were excited to recognize the leaders whose work uplifts our communities and provides the leadership needed to propel our region forward. |

The Chamber awarded the Distinguished Business Leader award to Angel City Football Club co-founders Julie Uhrman, Kara Nortman and Natalie Portman for their groundbreaking contributions to women’s sports, inspiring women and girls throughout the world.
The Chamber awarded the Corporate Leadership Award to JPMorgan Chase for their leadership to the growth of the Los Angeles region with their commitment to support communities with access to capital and to help grow small business capacity. Kelly Shupe, California Division Director - Business Banking, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
Created in 2023, the Chamber’s Community Impact Award is presented to partners who help amplify the Chamber’s work in supporting small businesses. The Chamber recognized the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce (GLAAACC), President Angela Gibson-Shaw and Founder Gene Hale, for their commitment to not only help African American-owned businesses grow, but to see them thrive.
The Chamber thanked 2023 Board chair A.G. Spanos for his dedication and welcomed 2024 Board chair Janet Lamkin, senior vice president of global market and community innovation with United Airlines.
