International trade covers a wide spectrum of activities and many options for lucrative professional careers, including jobs in export consulting and management, strategic planning, market research, marketing and sales, finance, regulatory compliance, and supply chain management.  
 
RETAP’s International Career Development provides free training for career advancement as a Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP), an Export Management Company (EMC), or an international freight forwarder.

Experts will conduct an intensive 2-day bootcamp for CGBP and freight forwarder training and a half-day workshop for EMC training.

  • CGBP training: The CGBP is a recognized NASBITE credential that enhances employability and demonstrates mastery of 4 “domains” – global management, global marketing, supply chain management, and trade finance. The training will be conducted by an accredited CGBP trainer.
  • Freight forwarder training: Freight forwarders handle all logistical aspects of exporting for their manufacturer clients. An experienced freight forwarder will conduct the 2-day bootcamp. The training will cover the entire process of managing export logistics, -- quoting shipping costs, arranging cargo pickup from the factory to the specified destination, preparing required export documentation, and booking and insuring the cargo.
  • Export Management Company (EMC) training: Gain insights from an experienced EMC during a half-day workshop covering the critical roles and functions of EMCs. Learn about the responsibilities of each party, how to find export clients and markets, develop market entry strategies, respond to RFQs, negotiate terms, comply with regulations, and manage logistics effectively.
