Chamber Hosts discussion on Geopolitical Shifts From COVID-19

The Global Initiatives Council convened for a virtual session this week to hear from Rob Koepp, Principal of Geoeconomix as he discussed the geopolitical dimensions of the global pandemic and long-term implications regarding China and the U.S. and the prospects for their relationship. Rob also provided an assessment about future implications for the Los Angeles region. “Given the chilling effect that may remain active between the U.S. and China for some time, a strategic rebalance will occur with increasing economic relations with greater China and other parts of Asia.”

The Global Initiatives Council is chaired by Nicole Simonian, partner, Crowell & Moring LLP and generously sponsored by HSBC, Ontario International Airport and the Port of Los Angeles. View the webinar.
