LOS ANGELES, CA – May 13, 2022 – The LA Jobs PAC moved to endorse Rick Caruso for Mayor of the City of Los Angeles in the June 2022 primary election. The Chamber released the following statement:

As an organization with a deep legacy in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce has a great interest in the direction of the City of Los Angeles which will be set in motion by its next Mayor.

Over these past months, the LA Jobs PAC met with the leading candidates for the office of Mayor and evaluated policies, platforms, and proposals. We are fortunate to have candidates and public servants with admirable credentials, and we value their service and contributions to Los Angeles.

The next Mayor of the City of Los Angeles must have the courage to drive change, recognize the importance of stewardship, and have the ability to ensure public trust. They must be an empathetic leader who is able to understand and address the disparities and inequities which gives rise to frustration and despair within our communities. This is a moment in time for a new vision; a new blueprint to realize the greatness of Los Angeles. This is the moment in time for courageous leadership and bold action.

For these reasons, the LA Jobs PAC endorsed Rick Caruso for Mayor of the City of Los Angeles. Caruso’s vision, executive leadership experience, and business acumen will serve him well in managing the complex challenges which we find ourselves in today. His civic leadership and philanthropic work over decades have given him an understanding of the important role government plays in daily living.

As entrepreneurs, employers, small business owners, and most importantly, Angelenos, we believe this is a critical election for the future of our city. Rick Caruso is prepared to step into the job as Chief Executive of the City of Los Angeles on day one.
