Chamber Partnered with Invest Shanghai to Commence China International Import Expo
On Oct. 13, the Chamber partnered with the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce for the “Meet Shanghai at CIIE” conference. The event was a part of the 5th annual China International Import Expo (CIEE) and convened CIIE exhibitors, California state and county officials, Chinese government consulates and industry leaders from both China and the United States. The Chamber’s COO Martin Breidsprecher shared the Chamber’s dedication and history of supporting international trade and providing access, advocacy and support to local businesses for more than 130 years. Chamber and U.S. – MX Business Association Hosts California & Mexico Leadership Forum On Sept. 23, the Chamber partnered with the U.S.- Mexico Business Association (AEM) to host an exclusive networking event to bring industry leaders from Mexico and the U.S. to meet and discuss the economic opportunities available in both countries. The half-day event featured informative panel discussions on supply chain integration, trade and workforce development. The forum concluded with remarks from Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
