Chamber COO Joins Mexican Consulate Briefing

On February 28, Martin Breidsprecher, COO of the L.A. Area Chamber, met with a delegation of elected officials from various Mexican states to discuss nearshoring opportunities between Mexico and Los Angeles and how the Chamber can support this endeavor. The initiative was launched by Marcelo Ebrard, Mexico's Minister of Interior and Exterior Relations.

Martin Breidsprecher attended the farewell reception for Marcela Celorio, Consul General of Mexico in Los Angeles. Ambassador Celorio made history as the second female to serve as Consul General in nearly 140 years of history of the Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles.

LARExC Meets Delegates of the Jiangsu Foreign Affairs Office

The Los Angeles Regional Export Council (LARExC) hosted a delegation from the Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, including Liu Jiandong, Deputy Director-General of Jiangsu FAO, and James Dai, the Director of the Jiangsu Economic & Trade Office in the USA. The meeting was to plan for the upcoming visit of the Jiangsu vice-governor in mid-May and their plans to host a California-China Business Forum on May 22.
